EducationB.S. in Environmental Biology from Marshall University with minors in Chemistry and Economics (3.75 GPA)
M.S. in Biology from Marshall University (4.00 GPA)
Currently working on a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree at Marshall University (4.00 GPA)
ExperienceI was a tutor for one year on campus at Marshall while working on my undergraduate degree. I also helped several of my friends and classmates through various classes in high school and college.
I would like to take up tutoring again now to gain some additional experience before I start teaching next fall (2012). Also, I need to have a source of income with a flexible schedule while I'm finishing my MAT program. I will be doing my full-time student teaching this spring semester (2012).
In addition to my previous biology and chemistry coursework, I have taken two additional chemistry classes over the past year (Advanced Inorganic and Analytical). I have also taken classes in special education for general classroom teachers, classroom assessment, content reading, and educational psychology.

HobbiesMost of my hobbies have fallen by the wayside because I would rather spend the time with my kids (3 and 5 years old). However, when I get a chance I like to play and write some music (electric bass is my main instrument), watch documentaries, read how-to books, and work on computers.
