Experience
I was a tutor for one year on campus at Marshall while working on my undergraduate degree. I also helped several of my friends and classmates through various classes in high school and college. I would like to take up tutoring again now to gain some additional experience before I start teaching next fall (2012). Also, I need to have a source of income with a flexible schedule while I'm finishing my MAT program. I will be doing my full-time student teaching this spring semester (2012). In addition to my previous biology and chemistry coursework, I have taken two additional chemistry classes over the past year (Advanced Inorganic and Analytical). I have also taken classes in special education for general classroom teachers, classroom assessment, content reading, and educational psychology. Member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society

Hobbies
Most of my hobbies have fallen by the wayside because I would rather spend the time with my kids (3 and 5 years old). However, when I get a chance I like to play and write some music (electric bass is my main instrument), watch documentaries, read how-to books, and work on computers.
